When it comes to heart, hustle, and high-flying serves, few teams compare to the GetSetUp Arch Rivals. Hailing from Missouri, this close-knit all-women’s volleyball team is making its return to the National Senior Games. This time, with a new name and renewed energy as they proudly represent GetSetUp for the second Senior Games in a row.

Led by team captain Virginia Buckles, the 2025 lineup includes long-time teammates Pat Dittmeier, Terri Durand, Kathy Harris, Linda McClanahan, Melanie Morton, Marian Murff, and Deb Pugh, all under the guidance of their devoted coach, Mark Harris.

These women bring decades of experience and medals to the court, but what sets them apart is the incredible bond they’ve formed through years of playing women’s and coed volleyball together. Their team isn’t just about winning, though they’re pretty good at that, too. It’s about celebrating friendship, staying healthy, and proving that age is just a number.

Volleyball Roots Run Deep

The GetSetUp Arch Rivals are as diverse in background as they are united in passion. Virginia has been a volleyball devotee since age 11 and has played in every National Senior Games since 2003, collecting an impressive nine medals, including three golds. Pat has worn both player and coach hats since she started playing at age 10. Kathy was co-director of a junior volleyball club and brings 45+ years of volleyball wisdom. Terri, resilient through multiple joint replacements, is living proof that determination trumps discomfort. Linda has competed nationally and internationally and can’t imagine life without volleyball. Deb, Marian, and Melanie bring their own rich histories of competitive play and a love for the sport that’s only deepened over time.

And, of course, Coach Mark is the team’s steady hand, bringing strategy, encouragement, and a healthy dose of humor to every practice and game.
