    Our primary goal is to help the 50+ and senior demographic learn essential technology tools to live healthy, productive, and connected lives. We offer 400 hours of live classes weekly, covering topics such as small business tools, government services, health and wellness, hiring and jobs, new skills, staying connected, essential tech, and aging in place. When the pandemic hit, we expanded our offerings to include 40+ free online classes, helping users quickly adapt to essential technologies like grocery delivery, telemedicine, and Zoom.
  2. Creating Economic Opportunities for the Aging Population
    We also focus on creating economic opportunities for retired seniors by re-skilling them to become onboarding Guides and trainers on our scalable live interactive platform. These Guides teach peers in small groups or one-on-one sessions, creating a safe and empathetic learning environment. This initiative allows the aging population to participate in the economy from the comfort of their homes.
  3. Assisting Government Agencies with Forms and Applications
    Our re-skilled Guides also assist others in using important government-related software, apps, and websites, ensuring they can fill out forms and applications correctly. This includes assistance with services like EDD, Social Security, telemedicine, aging-related services, and Medicare. By building a scalable rapid training program, we are creating a workforce of experts in essential digital tools, improving response rates to government programs, and reducing the volume of calls to helplines.

Supporting Educators and Consumers in the Digital Age

  1. Classes Curated for 50+ School Teachers
    In partnership with The Learning Accelerator, GetSetUp has launched an educator-to-educator training program, helping retired educators master the tools needed to support students with online learning during the pandemic. This rapid response program re-skilled 40 retired educators to train public school teachers, providing over 300 hours of live onboarding and training in a week. Teachers gained confidence in using tools like Google Classroom, Zoom, and screencasting to continue their work remotely.
  2. Training Consumers on Effectively Using Apps
    Our work with 50+ learners also extends to training them as consumers of virtual app services, including online banking, ride services, and grocery delivery. By ensuring that users can confidently use these apps, we help companies reach their target consumers during the crisis.
