Mithilesh Joshi, a 56-year-old poet and storyteller, shares her life story.

"I was born and raised in Delhi, and I work in the travel industry as a manager. Even though I'm 56, my heart feels like it's 15 years old."

A story a friend recited to me in school sparked my interest in poetry and writing. I was inspired and started to write in Hindi.

"My favorite writer is Shivani. She was from the mountains, just like I am. Her stories were always women-centric, and she wrote about real life. For years, I used to write only for myself. I wouldn't allow anyone to read what I'd written. But, recently, I started sharing my writing on Facebook groups and my blog, 'Meri Zindagi Meri Chah.' Life is short. Problems are minor, so don't get stressed. Live your life and let others live theirs."

"I always wondered why Muzaffar Ali chose Rekha to play Umrao. My take was that Muzaffar saw something in Rekha's eyes and expressions. It's a sad story. Umrao Jaan is the story of many girls who have ups and downs. Umrao didn't have the option to escape her problems, yet she lived her life."

"People say we don't have time. But the reality is we have time. Instead of thinking about our problems, we will have more time if we take action! I'm a single parent, have pets, take classes at GetSetUp, work, and have household chores. If you manage your time, you will be able to do it. A little positivity in life can do wonders. Don't judge because it ruins relationships. Live life with pride, and you'll die with no regrets."

His advice for younger generations is simple:

"Live your life with passion. Be your own hero. Never follow in someone else's footsteps. Make your own path. It will be difficult, but it will be all worth it in the end. Take a look inside yourself. Identify your strengths and weaknesses."

Mithilesh shared her personal mantra with us:

"Live your life and learn to focus on the positive in difficult times. Be patient, and you will definitely conquer life!"
